The Roland VR-09 receives a substantial update with system version 1.03 which adds 10 new electric pianos and 15 new vintage synth sounds to the existing palette of essential tones for live use.
- Jul 27, 2016 This is a control panel for the Roland VR09-Combo keyboard, similar to the proprietary iPad-only app. It is still a work in progress most of the functionalities are there. It’s my first panel; constructive criticism is welcome. Supports bidirectional editing of synth and organ tones and control of the built-in effects.
- After tweaking sounds at home, you can take your iPad to the gig and use the app for extra real-time control on stage. Convenient, cable-free communication between the V-Combo VR-09 and iPad is simple to set up with Roland Wireless Connect. Alternately, you can link up with a USB cable via Apple's iPad Camera Connection Kit.
With a focus on vintage electric pianos that drove many legendary pop, rock, country, and R&B songs from the late 1960s through the 1980s, the new electric piano sounds include waveforms taken from the highly regarded SRX-12 Classic EP expansion board, the original VR-760 combo and the current RD-800 stage piano.
In addition, the update adds 15 synth sounds from the popular Synth Legends collection first created for the JUPITER-80/-50. The 15 sounds feature detailed SuperNATURAL-powered reproductions of tones from historic Roland synths, including the JUPITER-8, JUPITER-6, JUNO Series and the D-50.
